The Valley of Butterflies
Near Kalamonas village, there is a rare habitat of real beauty. The Valley of Butterflies, from June until September, becomes the home of a red-brown butterfly called Panaxia Quadripunctaria. Like a fountain of life, this valley is ideal for walks in the green paths, under the tall trees that offer a unique shade during the summer season. Picturesque bridges, water lilies, waterfalls and sunny glades form a fairytale ambience. The path leads to a Monastery built in 1782.
For eco-lovers, just before the walkway, there is the Natural History museum with rare exhibits of the island’s wildlife, and species of the valley, as well as a butterfly incubator and exhibition!

The Rodini Park
Only three kilometers away from Rhodes Town, lies the oldest natural park in the world. This park has a special and rare habitat, indulging walkways and small bridges. It’s a natural paradise in the heart of the island. Peacocks wander around freely among visitors and the park offers a refreshment room and a small zoo. Take a deep breath of fresh air under the bushy trees, just a step away from the city center.

Seven Springs
Another cradle of life of nature is located near Archaggelos village. Under the pine and plane trees, the lake of the Seven Springs calls nature lovers to relax at its shore. Adventurous visitors can try to walk all the footpaths around the lake to discover all of the Seven Springs!

Kallithea
Kallithea village is located on the eastern part of the island of Rhodes. Known for its spas, the facilities of which were founded in 1929,they have attracted lots of attention from scientists and patients, due to their therapeutic properties. The facilities are also a renowned cultural center that hosts exhibitions, festivals, events and concerts, as well as a standard photo exhibition about the springs, in independent rooms.
